Chart a course to Planet Word for Talk Like a Pirate Day! Don’t miss a special Discovery Day celebrating the launch of new, novice-level mystery cases in Lexicon Lane. Previously, puzzles were only available for teens and adults, but now younger sleuths can tackle a slate of new adventures designed just for them. Families of word-sleuths ages eight and up can select from five new wordy adventures, including The Case of Purplebeard’s Lost Pirate Treasure, in the escape room-like experience located on the museum’s third floor.

Discovery Day Adventures
* Treasure Hunt: Follow wordy clues across the galleries leading straight to the Lexicon Lane village and take home pirate treasures.
* Mystery Cases: Test your wits on new cases designed specifically to introduce kids to wordplay and puzzle-solving.
* Prize Wheel: Spin for a chance to win a free Lexicon Lane case experience, treats, or special swag.

Museum activities are included free with general admission. Lexicon Lane novice puzzles are available for the special price of $10 per group (usually $50) in celebration of Talk Like a Pirate Day and may be purchased in-person on the day of the event. Best for ages eight and up.
