HyeSook Chung is the President of The Baltimore Civic Fund. She served as a Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services where she worked to expand Medicaid, TANF, and CHIP. Prior to serving as Deputy Mayor, Ms. Chung served as the executive director of DC Action for Children, a child advocacy organization working to bring high impact outcomes to DC children. With over 27 years of experience in the government and non-profit sector, Chung is a seasoned executive leader experienced in driving transformative solutions to address pressing systemic challenges. As the President of the Baltimore Civic Fund, that serves as the fiscal sponsor for the City of Baltimore, Chung manages more than 100 City programs that enhance the quality of life for residents.
