Drop by Planet Word anytime between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. for a Juneteenth celebration highlighting the words and works of successful Black authors from the DMV. Join nine local writers and novelists for conversation and book signings — all nine will have books available for purchase and personalization. And while you’re visiting with our local literati, DJ Qué Pequeño will spin up the mood, with craft cocktails available for purchase from Mixt, a local Black-owned bartending company.
