Learn about the history and artform of Chinese Calligraphy in this joyful cultural exchange presented by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and the Jiangsu Academy of Chinese Painting.

After a brief introduction to Chinese “Fu” calligraphy, guest artists will demonstrate painting the traditional Chinese phrases and blessings used when celebrating the Lunar New Year. Complimentary materials will be provided to those who wish to try their hand at creating their own unique takeaway.

All Planet Word visitors are welcome to participate. Reserve a general admission pass in advance (1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. recommended) to ensure plenty of time to engage with exhibits and this special activity.
