Join Nestor as he weaves together stories from his latest book, Rescued Me, and autobiographical narratives — from arriving in the United States in the mid-80’s as a Spanish-speaking undocumented immigrant with a stutter through his journey to becoming a bilingual Guatemalan American citizen. Nestor is respected for empowering immigrant communities around the nation through his poetry and compelling delivery of real-life stories that illuminate the challenges faced by many immigrants then and today.
