Join us and listen to what members of Street Sense have to say. They are artists and vendors who have spent months attending poetry workshops — all leading to a live poetry slam at Planet Word, where they will share their unforgettable thoughts and insights.

Street Sense’s mission is to end homelessness in the Washington, D.C., area by empowering people in need with the skills, tools, and confidence to succeed. Together, we use a range of media platforms to raise awareness and spotlight solutions to homelessness in our community. Street Sense Media produces journalism, theater, photography, audio, illustration, and more, all to provide economic opportunity for and elevate the voices of people experiencing homelessness.
